As you probably know by now, big companies like Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc, observe our behavior online such as what interests us. They then use this in their algorithms to figure out what kind of advertising to serve up in front of us.
A start up from Berkley called Five has put a tool up online which claims to show what kind of personality type you have based upon your writing style. It then compares you to famous people, as well as to your friends.
“Using a link to Facebook posts, Five analyzes the language in which we write, and determines our relative affiliation to five personality attributes: openness, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism. It then shows comparisons with famous people (based on their public writings and statements), as well as your Facebook friends.”
